Where F & L Could Stand For . . .
Furniture and linens? Fun and laughter? Freedom and liberty? What does F & L really stand for? Well here is the story straight from the owner herself.
" My husband Ray and I went to school together and graduated in 1983. We were only friends then. I found out later he was in love with me from the start. I had given him my senior picture and he put it in the front of his wallet. I went on with my life and had four kids while he went to the Navy.
4 years passed after graduation when Ray showed up at my door. We had a long-distance relationship since he was still stationed in California. I was here in Missouri with my 4 young children. We wrote letters back and forth for 7 months until he came back. Every letter and card from him was signed
'Friends and Lovers Forever' and still are.
Flash forward to 2008, we finally have all 5 children out of the house and some free time. (not much though with 10 grandchildren) I decided to open the flea market. When we were trying to decide on a name, several were thought of but when Ray said "F & L Fleamarket" I knew it was it.
God sent Ray back into my life and has blessed us greatly with our family and the fleamarket.
December 8th, 2013.... We have now been open 5 years and still going well. Our store has grown and so has our family. Now we have 17 grand children and one on the way. We want to thank everyone for their support over the past 5 years and hope to continue to serve in this small town we call home.
